Maple Pass // North Cascades, WA

The Pacific Northwest has an endless amount of breathtaking beauty to offer. On a sunny Monday in October, Mary and I set out on the Maple Pass Loop Trail. As we climbed to the ridgeline, we shouted in delight at the sight of the larks–a deciduous pine that turns brilliantly gold before losing its tender needles to the approaching winter.

We reveled in the warm sun, laughing and crying together at the pure wonderment of it all.
